Taylor Blazina, Student Midwife.
My name is Taylor Blazina and I am a midwifery student at the Midwives College of Utah.
I grew up in Edmonds Washington and moved to Ellensburg to attend Central Washington University. I graduated from CWU with a degree in emergency medicine and an Ellensburg local as a husband! I practiced as an EMT up until the delivery of our first child in 2019, who we chose to deliver under the care of a midwife. Upon the delivery of our son, I knew in my heart that midwifery was a career path that I was meant to pursue.
I am very passionate about holistic health and wellness and believe whole heartedly that every person deserves autonomy when bringing their babies into the world and the midwifery model of care supports both of these beliefs.
When I am not working, I can be found at home with my family puttering around our hobby farm. Some of my favorite activities besides catching babies include gardening, dirt biking riding, camping, spending time with my horses and cooking from scratch.
I could not be more excited to get to know and serve such as beautiful community as this valley that we all call home. Thank you for having me and I look forward to getting to know you.
