Welcome!

My name is Macy Schorno and I am a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a special interest in the maternal-child dyad. I am originally from Olympia, WA and grew up on the Puget Sound enjoying boating, swimming, and all the delicious seafood to be had. I received my undergraduate degree in Nursing from the University of North Dakota where I was also a college cheerleader! After graduating, my husband Jackson and I were married and moved to Texas where he was able to work for a family business in steel manufacturing. We decided Texas wasn’t for us after just one year and missed all that beautiful Washington had to offer. After having served five years in the US Marine Corps, Jackson decided to pursue his education in Construction Management, which landed us in Ellensburg, WA. I decided it was a perfect time to advance my own education. I graduated from Purdue University’s Global Master of Science in Nursing program with the intent of better servicing women and children. 

 

I have a special interest in mental health and the challenges that occur throughout the ever evolving woman’s life. Currently, I also work at KVH in the Family Birthing department as a Registered Nurse where I get to work with new mothers and families through some of the most impactful moments of their lives.

 

We welcomed our first child, Gail, in October. She has been the light of our lives and has solidified my love for working with the women and children population. In my free time I enjoy baking, quilting, skiing (water and snow), and enjoying the beautiful outdoors here in the PNW! I spend a significant amount of time tending to our 2 dogs, cat, and flock of chickens.
