Hey everyone!

My name is Megan Russell. I am a student midwife with Sky Valley Midwifery and am attending Midwives College of Utah.   

I have 6 children 16, 13, 13, 11, 2, and 7 months.  I, myself, have had 3 homebirths and loved each one so very much! We have a small hobby farm with a big produce garden, goats, pigs, cows, a horse, chickens, and dogs! All of my children are involved with 4h and we love it!

I have wanted to pursue midwifery since my first homebirth over 11 years ago and finally decided to apply in the summer of 2022.  I was accepted a few weeks later and started my journey down the midwifery path in January of 2023.  I completed phase 1 in December of 2023 and have started the next phase of school and training in January 2024.

I am a certified birth assistant and a certified doula.  I not only get to precept under Olga Gadomskiy in the Richland Sky Valley office but I also dedicate time to birth assisting at Columbia Birth Center when I have a spare moment between the wonderful patients we serve! 

I am so in love with the journey I am on and am looking forward to the next stages this life has for me!
